Improved stability

"CS still hangs on me every couple of days. I'd love to see CS faster and smoother, with fewer hiccups." This idea was submitted on behalf of a customer. - Troy

  1. This is a major one for me, also. I brought in the QA representative from my department to show her the content of a video about 1/3 of the way through production, and the program hangs. I'm able to move the slider on the timeline, but the callouts and zooms aren't working. I can't save or exit. I have to ctrl-alt-del and end the task in front of her - this doesn't make her reports on the software seem favorable.

  2. This has been happening to me about once every day or two for the past couple of weeks. I'd assumed it was me, perhopas pushing a limit (on number of callouts, for example). but now I can just blame Camtasia. :-)

    This is not meant to deflect the need for improved stability. But the support folk at TechSmith are pretty good at diagnosing DLL conflicts and such that can cause instabilities. I'd give em a call. 800-517-3001.

  4. TechSmith Tech Support has always been excellent for me too. Since I've been using Camtasia, I've seen good improvement in stability...but Murphy being Murphy, continuous improvement is greatly appreciated.

  5. I agree. Any video over 10 minutes gets to be VERY cumbersome and time consuming to edit. I am thinking up going to Studio.
